[Cotton Pansy] Cotton and Colorful

Free Cotton Flower Pattern

Pansy and Green leaves - crochet pattern
Using Sugar and Creme Cotton Yarn, in green and purple; one ball each.
Using size F or G crochet hook
size: approximately 3 inches across.

Center
Row1: Using green cotton, Ch3, sl st in first ch to create a circle.
Row2: Sc in center of chain 6 times.

Making leaf extensions
Row3: Sc in first sc, *ch 8, sl st into 3rd ch from hook and in next 5 chs, sl st into sc at base of ch 8, sc into next sc*, repeat between * to end. (total 6 extensions)
Row4: *sl st into base st of ch 8, sc into next ch on extension, hdc in next ch, (dc in next ch )X2, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch, ch 3, (going down other side of extension) sc into next sl st, hdc in next sl st, (dc in next sl st )X2, hdc in next sl st, sc in last sl st, sl st in base sc of extension*, Repeat for all extensions.
Row5: Sl st to center of work, ch 6 sc into work. tie off leaving a 2 inch tail.

Pansy Center
Row6: Attach purple cotton to center of circle st, sc *dc X2 (attaching to top loop of center st only) for next 3 sts, sc,*, repeat from * to * around to beg ch 3, Sl st to top of ch3, end off.
A small pearl or other bead can be sewn in the center to add a extra flare.
